Step 1: Identify the Crack Type and Severity
Inspect the orientation and width of the crack. Thin vertical cracks are commonly caused by concrete curing shrinkage. However, horizontal cracks, wide stair-step cracks, or vertical fractures wider than a credit card indicate structural pressure that requires professional stabilization.
Step 2: Clean and Prepare the Masonry
Scrape away old paint, loose masonry, and dirt using a wire brush. Chisel out the crack into a slight backward-angled groove to give the repair material a secure mechanical lock, then vacuum out all remaining dust and debris.
Step 3: Select the Appropriate Repair Compound
Choose a compound suited for your specific conditions. Hydraulic cement expands as it cures to stop minor active seepage. Low-pressure epoxy injection bonds fractured concrete together structurally, while polyurethane injection expands flexibly to seal moving cracks against water.
Step 4: Apply and Allow Full Curing
Press the repair compound deep into the void according to manufacturer guidelines, feather the edges onto sound concrete, and let it cure fully before applying any secondary moisture barrier.

We bought a house, it's Pittsburgh, it's built into the side of a hill, and water is coming into our basement. EverDry waterproofing put in an interior French drain, waterproofed the walls, installed an EZ breeze air filter, and did exterior waterproofing as well. Four days of good work (Wed Aug 19, Thursday Aug 20, Friday Aug 21, and Monday Aug 24). Corey (the foreman) and his team did a great job and we're very pleased with the results. Looking forward to having a finished basement!Posted on Google![]()

I had waterproofing work done by Everdry of Pittsburgh years ago, and for the most part, everything has been perfect ever since. Recently, I thought I was having water problems again, so I called them to take a look. Thankfully, it turned out to be just a leaky pipe rather than a structural issue. Their customer service and willingness to come out and inspect the situation gave me total peace of mind. Highly recommend their team and their lifetime support!Posted on Google![]()

The customer service part was excellent. Every member of the team was courteous, answered questions and wanted to do a good job.
High-tensile carbon fiber grid sheets are bonded directly to bowing or cracked basement walls, preventing further inward movement without adding bulky steel beams.
Heavy-duty steel piers are driven deep into stable bedrock or load-bearing soil strata to stabilize settling foundations and lift sinking sections back toward level.
Reinforced concrete supports and masonry pier stacks are installed underneath weakened footings and damaged interior piers to redistribute building loads safely.
In pier and beam foundations or crawl spaces, rotted support timbers are replaced and structural shims are fitted to eliminate floor sagging and bounce.
Wall stabilization options may include StablWall, beams, or wall anchors. The appropriate method depends on an inspection of the wall. Ask us to review the written warranty terms for the recommended product.
